» Introduction

"The First Shareholders Mill", which is also known as “The Old Mill”, is situated in an attractive location within the wider city centre and in the vicinity of several important roads.The "Old Mill" complex consists of the main building of the old mill, which is to be kept and reconstructed. Furthermore, there are also several smaller buildings such as warehouses and workshops which are to be demolished.

The main building of the "Old Mill" is protected by the Intitute for the Preservation of the Monuments of Cultural Importance as one of the most important industrial structures from the beginning of the 20th Century (built in 1904) and represents a well-known landmark in the centre of the town.

The "Old Steam Mill" is one of the few projects in Belgrade which combines historical and modern architecture. The complex will contain 4 elements: a hotel, business apartments with retail space and a 10-storey office tower, as well as a car park with 140 parking spaces.

Combining existing and new structures, the development is going to revitalize the surrounding and create a new business and residential area.

The solution proposes that the latest technology for security, safety, pereservation, and climate control be installed.
